Kitty love...for the moment atleast!

These are my two cats, Maui and Jonesy.  They kindly took a break from their busy schedule to allow me to capture this moment, but don’t let this picture of serenity fool you…this is just a snapshot of the eye of the storm.  About two minutes before this photo was taken, my loving kitties were interlocked in full out wrestle-mania-mode!  I’m talking whirlwind of fur and tails and any of my belongings that gets in their way.  And heaven forbid you stop to entertain their antics and get too close, you could lose a toe!  But as quickly as it came on, they easily fall out of fighting and stop for a moment of snuggling and grooming each other.  A few minutes after this picture was captured, however, the battle roared back to life as two furry blurs streaked down the hallway and knocked over my basket of laundry along the way.

Hi, my name is Maggie, and I am just a wee little kitten.  I don’t have too many memories yet, but my story so far has gone from near hopeless to wonderful.  Not too long ago I found myself abandoned, alone on the side of the road, without anyone to care for me.  These giant things on wheels kept whizzing past me, and they were so close.  It was really scary!  Luckily, a nice little girl picked me up and brought me in to see Dr. Valese at the Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono. 

I was not in very good condition…I was so hungry and felt very weak.  I was so cold I didn’t think that I’d be able to go on any further.  Once Dr. Valese examined me, he seemed very concerned and instructed his team to care for me very quickly.  Some tests were run and they began to warm me up.  I was so cold; the warmth gave me new strength.  They gave me some medication, treatment, food and TLC.  Their gentle expert care began to work, and quickly too!  Soon I wanted more food.  They fed me a number of meals a day and I started to get my strength back.  They did a great job of helping to keep me warm.  They would give me warm, fresh blankets all day and a heated mat to lay on that was really cozy to cuddle up on. 

After a few days I started gaining weight and getting more energy.  They continued to care for me; giving me my medicine and keeping me clean and warm.   They even taught me how to use a litter box.  Now time has passed and I am stronger than ever.  Since then I’m like a new kitten.  I love running, jumping and playing all day long.  I even caught a teddy bear!  Then one day my new mommy picked me up and took me home where I now get more love, attention and food than I could have ever dreamed of, all thanks to Dr. Valese and the team at the Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono.  They saved my life and put me on the road to a healthy and happy life.  I say; if you’re ever feeling under the weather, just give Dr. Valese and the team at the Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono a call.  You’ll be glad you did.  They make the lives of pets better, one pet at a time.

 

This past winter we were getting ready for a ski trip.  With suitcases out & packing activity going on our dog Bones seemed to become a little anxious.  The activity of packing seems to make him nervous.  We had our ski bag out & were starting to ready the skis to go inside.  When we turned back to the ski bag there was Bones curled up inside at one end as if to say “No one is leaving without me!”  He looked so cute I had to take a picture.  Needless to say he did not go on the trip.  He did just fine boarding while we were away.

Dear Friends,

            I would like to tell you about my experience with Dr. Valese at All Pets Dental Care.  My name is Thor and I am a police dog.  I spend every day with my human partner Jim.  Together we keep the streets of our town safe for all the citizens.  In our town traffic stops are usually the order of the day, and while Jim is handling these calls, it’s my job to watch his back.

            Then one day we got a call that there was a robbery in progress at the local supermarket.  Jim turned on his siren (I love that!) and we sped to the location.  We pulled in just in time to see a man running away with a bag of money.  I instinctively jumped out of the car and chased him.  I caught up to him quickly, grabbed his arm in my mouth, and pulled him down.  I held him there until Jim came to cuff him.  Together we apprehended the thief and restored order to the scene.

            As we headed back to the station, my tooth was hurting and considering it was feeding time, this was not a good thing.  Chasing bad guys really makes me work up an appetite!  Jim could see that I was not eating my food like I usually do and knew instantly there was something wrong.  We went to see my regular Veterinarian, Dr. Barkley and he found that my tooth had been chipped during the struggle with the robber.  Dr. Barkley told us that this condition needed special treatment and that he had the perfect solution.  He sent us to see Dr. Valese at All Pets Dental Care.  He said Dr. Valese was a dental genius and will have me feeling better in no time.

            Jim brought me to All Pets Dental Care for my dental evaluation.  What a great place!  I not only saw dogs and cats, but did you know that he treats exotic pets too?  Why, he told us that he even has a chinchilla for a dental patient!  Dr. Valese gave me quite a thorough dental exam and when he was done he explained where the problem was and what he would have to do to repair it.  It was music to my ears, being a police dog can be ruff work and I have to be at my best 24/7.

            After having my preanesthetic blood work done, I was ready for my dental procedure.  Dr. Valese x-rayed my teeth, which helped him see if there were any other problems going on in my mouth.  He sealed my chipped tooth and cleaned all of my teeth, removing dangerous plaque.  The next thing I knew I woke up feeling as good as new!  As Dr. Valese instructed, Jim brought me back in 3 months to re-examine my mouth.  Just as he said, I was feeling great and eating like a champ – my tooth no longer a problem.

            My partner and I are back on the beat and I have no doubt that I will now be able to take a bite out of crime.  Thanks to Dr. Valese and his staff at All Pets Dental Care, I feel like a million bones!  So if your teeth are the problem, get the best care around.  See Dr. Valese because you deserve it.
